  • (Take The) Causeway IPA
    IPA - American 8.2% ABV 77 IBU

It's 4:53 p.m. on a Friday in July in downtown Mobile. All that stands between you and a weekend of rest and relaxation on the Eastern Shore is 7.5 miles of Mobile Bay, and you have two ways to cross it. Any Lower Alabamian can tell you to leave the Bayway and its traffic to the tourists and take the Causeway instead, and it was with that advice in mind that we named our summer IPA. Copious amounts of Citra and Simcoe hops are used throughout the brewing process in this American India Pale Ale. From first-wort to bittering, flavor, aroma and dry hops, an artful combination of just two extraordinary hops leads to an explosively hoppy finish on the palate.

  • I Drink Therefore I Amber
Red Ale - American Amber / Red 5.4% ABV 54 IBU

I Drink Therefore I Amber boasts a rich mahogony color imparted by the generous use of specialty malts in the mash. A combination of Australian Galaxy and American Chinook hops balances out this brew with a distinct pine note in the finish.

  • Fairhope 51
Pale Ale - American 5.8% ABV 38 IBU

Fairhope 51 is a classic American pale ale, brewed with a combination of American-made Falconer's Flight hops and German hops. Named for being the 51st recipe entry into head brewer Dan's beer notebook, this pale ale is packed with hop flavor but not overly bitter. Though this crisp, flavorful beer was 51 in Dan's notebook, we expect it to be your top choice for a pale along the Eastern Shore.

  • Judge Roy Bean
    Stout - Coffee 5.1% ABV N/A IBU

Judge Roy Bean is an American stout brewed with copious amounts of fresh Fairhope Roasting Company coffee. Whole Madagascar vanilla beans are then added, giving this 5% ABV stout a decadent blend of chocolate, vanilla and espresso notes — a perfect combination for cooler holiday weather in Lower Alabama. This beer is our tribute to the beloved Eastern Shore landmark, and much like the old days at the Bean, we think you’ll love spending your holiday with Judge Roy.

  • Cheap Sunglasses
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other 4.2% ABV N/A IBU

This Golden style ale is as light and refreshing as you would expect. This brew, the brewery's 5th year-round bottled beer, is great for a hot afternoon or reward for working in the yard.

  • Tarts & Crafts
Sour - Fruited Gose 4.5% ABV N/A IBU

A raspberry & sea salt gose brewed just in time for the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival.

  • Blue Steel
    Sour - Fruited 5.4% ABV N/A IBU

This beer is “really really really ridiculously good.” Our lemon and blueberry sour ale will deliver a great balance and tart with some sweet. Supplies are quite limited, so don’t miss the runway!

  • Painted Black IPA
IPA - Black / Cascadian Dark Ale 7% ABV 73 IBU

The Painted Black IPA is one of the first examples of this new style to emerge from the South. It combines the dark-as-night color of a stout with a prominent "Northwest" hop aroma — citrusy, piney, and resinous. The body has some sweet malt flavors, with just a hint of roastiness and toasted malt.

  • Everyday Lager
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other 4.5% ABV 21 IBU

Fairhope Everyday Ale is made to pair with those gorgeous Eastern Shore days along the bay. Handcrafted with British Maris Otter malt and Kent Golding hops, this well-balanced American Blonde Ale packs a lot of flavor into a beer without a lot of alcohol.

  • Rescue Dog Red
    IPA - Red 8% ABV 78 IBU

Rescue Dog Red was the first seasonal ale to emerge from the 10-barrel system at Fairhope Brewing Company. It's full of hop flavor and boasts a rich malt bill to balance out this Imperial Red Ale. One dollar of each pour in the taproom will be donated to The Baldwin County Humane Society.

  • Cinco Uno
Spiced / Herbed Beer 5.8% ABV N/A IBU

Fairhope 51 with Jalapeño peppers. A jalapeño beer that doesn't get jalapeño business.

  • Lil Poison Brown Ale
Brown Ale - American 6.3% ABV N/A IBU

Friend of the brewery and newly minted "Brewsician" Grayson Capps stopped by to help add some mojo - and four pounds of hops - to our latest occasional release, Lil Poison Brown Ale. This rich, malty American Brown Ale, which weighs in at 6.3 percent alcohol by volume (ABV), will be partying its way through Fat Tuesday both in the taproom and at Lower Alabama's finer drinking establishments.

  • S'Wheat Home
Wheat Beer - Hefeweizen 4.5% ABV N/A IBU

  • Bob's Blackberry Brew
Fruit Beer 4.2% ABV N/A IBU

Wheat beer brewed with Blackberries. This small-batch creation was dubbed for Baumhower’s namesake Bob Baumhower. Bob dabbled in the taproom for months coming up with the wheat-base brew that’s exclusive to Aloha Hospitality restaurants. The fruit has a special backstory for the Baumhower family. Daughter Anne led a class project to have the blackberry declared the official Alabama fruit in 2002 while a third grader at Fairhope Elementary.

  • There Will Be Blood
    IPA - American 8.2% ABV N/A IBU

There Will Be Blood is a smooth blend of our Take The Causeway IPA and blood orange puree; a favorite of our regulars.

  • Amateur Sketch
    IPA - Imperial / Double 10% ABV N/A IBU

This double IPA really packs a full on hop punch. At a hefty 10% ABV, this brew has the perfect balance of a big malt bill with a considerable amount amarillo, chinook, and mosaic hops. Much like that leprechaun hiding in the tree, it's hard to find a double IPA on our tap band - so grab this one while you can!

  • Wolfman
    Sour - Fruited 5.4% ABV N/A IBU

In the long line of our Top Gun series, this rhubarb and raspberry sour is one of our favorites!

  • Maverick
    Sour - Other 5.4% ABV N/A IBU

Maverick is a sour golden ale with apricots and peaches. This kettle-soured brew is a refreshing summer beer with a nice fruity finish.

  • Kingslayer
Stout - Russian Imperial 9.2% ABV N/A IBU

This rich, dark imperial stout is the perfect beer for cooler weather. With a robust grain bill, this smoky stout has all the malty greatness you expect form the style. Come try one out before the Mad King drinks it all!

  • Basil Instinct
Farmhouse Ale - Saison 6.4% ABV N/A IBU

A farmhouse ale brewed with copious amounts of basil providing huge aromatics and smooth herb flavor, complemented by the French Saison yeast strain that finishes off the beer with a subtle peppery finish. This refreshing beer was the last recipe Tim ever home-brewed.

  • Charlie
    Sour - Other 5% ABV N/A IBU

A sour golden ale flavored with natural passion fruit and hibiscus.

  • Long Handshake
    Porter - Imperial / Double 8% ABV N/A IBU

This beer delivers all the joy and comfort of an actual long handshake. This imperial porter delivers on a heavier body and richer flavor than you get from your average porter. Roasty, malty, and smooth - Long Handshake is a great example of the style and a beer you will thoroughly enjoy.

  • Merry Widows
Stout - Russian Imperial 9% ABV N/A IBU

  • Friends In Low Places
    IPA - Other 6.2% ABV N/A IBU

Six Breweries across Lower Alabama came together to benefit the Alabama Coastal Foundation by crafting this New England-Style India Pale Ale. We added hops from all over the world throughout the fermentation process to create a beer that is more juicy than bitter. Proceeds from this brew go to Alabama Coastal Foundation. Big thanks to the following breweries for their participation in this project: Big Beach, Braided River, Iron Hand, Old Majestic, and Serda.

  • Jester
    Sour - Other 5.8% ABV N/A IBU

    Sour with mango and habanero

It started with a mutual love of beer and the same resounding question: Why isn't there a local craft brewery in Lower Alabama? We all asked it, and while others may sit around and bemoan the answer, we decided to do something about it. That was way back in the year 2012, and while we didn't know it at the time, that one question would lead to the adventure of a lifetime for a bunch craft beers lovers who were simply looking to slake the thirsts of beer lovers along the Gulf Coast.

It was Michele Kane who had the idea while living in Alaska and warming the bar stools in the Alaskan Brewing Company taproom. It was her husband Brian who eagerly agreed. And after bringing on a local home brewer (Dan Murphy), a president of Free the Hops (Gabe Harris), and a law school buddy (Jim Foley), the journey began. We did not know exactly what we were getting into, but we did know one thing: We were going to open Lower Alabama's first production craft brewery since prohibition.

Lots of ales and variety! Live music from single artist, so not too loud and very entertaining. Enjoyed inside with tall tables and a rousing game of Jenga. Outside had nice tables, comfy chairs and even toddler chairs in a tree shaded open yard. Nice place for a drink and family.

I've been to allot of breweries and this one does not let down. Loved the the different choices and loved the waitress/barkeep. (Thanks for recommending Dragonfly as a place to eat! We loved that too.)

Christina was our bartender. Perhaps the nicest and most informative bartender I've experienced this trip. The Citrus Got Real was a great pale ale with citrus. Great nose and very true to style.

This place is AWESOME! I tried nearly all of their beers while I was there and they were all amazing (even the sour beer, and I don’t usually like sours). I work at a brewery in Philadelphia, PA and I WISH their beers were this good!
